Through expressive, gestural and abstract painting, Yvonne Robert explores colour, movement and materiality. Influenced by synesthesia, her practice translates chromatic perceptions into vibrant, intuitive and luminous compositions.

Positioned between contemporary abstraction and abstract expressionism, her work focuses on the immediate experience of painting, allowing gesture and colour to become primary vehicles of emotion.
