Two spaces stand opposed in the art world today: the traditional physical space and the digital space of the online market. The gallery takes up the idea of a “third space” — the shared space that appears when two cultures meet, belonging to neither one nor the other. Zone Trois places itself in that interval, between the traditional and the digital art worlds.
The programme brings together painting, sculpture, photography, installation and art publishing. Most exhibitions are supported by Château Desmirail, the gallery’s patron. Creative direction is by Laurence Bastide and her son Jules Duplantier, who select and support the artists shown.
The gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday, 2pm to 7pm, and by appointment. Admission is free.
