Fragments of Territory

Group exhibition

at Zone Trois Galerie

“Fragments of Territory” brings ceramicist Caroline Desile together with visual artist Anaïs Vindel at Zone Trois Galerie in Bordeaux. Inks on cotton canvas and slab-built stoneware form a map of strata and landscape fragments. 25 September to 24 December 2025.

Press release

The meeting between Caroline Desile, a ceramic artist, and Anaïs Vindel, a visual artist, sketches out a landscape of silent strata and sensitive gestures.

Together they set matter and territory in dialogue, in an exploration of time and memory.

The exhibition unfolds like a suspended long take, a narrative thread running through the works the way one crosses a territory, a thought, a dream. It reads as a mental map made of architectural and earthly fragments, of supple, undulating structures.

Each piece becomes a pause, a shard of landscape or intimate décor, a frame taken from an interior film.

Anaïs Vindel’s inks on cotton canvas — “Landscape”, “Purple night”, “Métamorphose”, “River”, “Iris” — answer Caroline Desile’s slab-built stoneware: “Table Geograms”, “Cantilever 05”, “Silent Utopia”, “Sedimentum”, and the “Hill” and “Tectogram” series.

An exhibition supported by Château Desmirail.
